Ministry for Human and Minority Rights has got a long-term, open, direct and high-quality communication and cooperation with LGBT Forum Progress, and there were no reasons for this NGO to come forward in public with unverified information and inappropriate remarks to the minister Numanovic, who has always had a lot of understanding and respect to all non-governmental organizations, together with readiness for cooperation through institutional and legal framework.
On the occasion of the Holy month of Ramadan, on behalf of the Ministry for Human and Minority Rights, I would like to submit many heartfelt congratulations to Reis of the Islamic Community of Montenegro, all employees and believers of Islamic community in Montenegro, deeply convinced that fasting the month of Ramadan will bring spiritual peace, love and tolerance.
Today the world marks the International Day Against Homophobia and Transphobia. On this day back in 1990, the World Health Organization has made a decision to declassify homosexuality as a mental disorder. This has ended one hundred year duration of "medical" homophobia. The decision mentined has become historic, and as of 2014, 17 May is celebrated as the International Day against Homophobia and Transphobia.
